Who are we looking for

EtQ is looking for an Account Manager to join our growing team, the position is in Farmingdale, NY. The Account Manager will support the organization's continued growth by assisting the assigned Sales team(s) in building new customer relationships and growing existing accounts. 


What to expect in the position

  • Receive and execute on daily / weekly direction from assigned EAE's to support and drive quarterly and annual revenue objectives.
  • Interact with internal EtQ departments, client prospects and existing clients on behalf of assigned EAE's specific to advancing active and planned projects through the sales process.
  • Responsibilities will include creating, advancing and securing timely internal and external approvals for project work orders, change orders and related contract documents to support revenue related objectives.
  • Securing executed contract documents and purchase orders on behalf of the assigned EAE's.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely coordination of pre-sales related dependencies and engagements, such as: RFx's, scheduling client demonstrations, Work Shop's, POC's and technical calls.
  • At the direction of assigned EAE's update CRM activities, tasks, client correspondence, HD calls and customer related issues in CORE.
  • On behalf of and at the direction of assigned EAE's, assure client satisfaction by collaborating with clients and internal EtQ departments.
  • Be an active member of EtQ's User Conference Committee.
  • Managing time effectively to assist assigned EAE's to meet or exceed quarterly and annual goal objectives.
  • Responsible for specified metrics as set by assigned EAE's or department manager. 

What you need to succeed 

  • Experience creating and managing relationships with customers
  • Experience selling enterprise software solutions preferably to companies in the Lifesciences, General Manufacturing, Food & Beverages, Aviation, government and EH&S industries
  • Bachelor's Degree, in a relevant field of study is a plus.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, self-directed, entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, analytical, and logical skills. 
  • Ability to clearly communicate thoughts and ideas over the telephone, client presentation skills and in written correspondence 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of any of the following vertical markets: Lifesciences, General Manufacturing, Food & Beverages, Aviation and EH&S markets including sales within or to such companies 
  • Understanding of basic Quality and/or EH&S principals including topics such as GxP, 21 CFR Part 11. Ability, and Sustainability are a plus 
  • Able to manage time effectively and stay organized
  • Able to multi-task in a collaborative environment with shifting priorities
  • Well versed in Windows and Internet technologies
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office
  • Experience with CRM software tools
